AnnualMainStrasse Village Maifest
May 16, 17 and 18
Chosen as one of the Top Ten Festivals in Kentucky for the Spring
of 2007 by the Kentucky Tourism Council, and one of the Top Twenty
Events for May 2007 by the Southeast Tourism Society, Maifest is
based on the German tradition of welcoming the first spring wines.
Maifest is the first major festival of the summer for the Tri-State
region. The assortment of arts and crafts and German and international
foods becomes the main course to attract approximately 150,000
area family members and regional travelers.

ABOUT US
MainStrasse Village Association was formed in 1979 and is dedicated
to improving the image and recognition of the area, by encouraging
and assisting businsess and tourism development and contributing
to the ongoing beautification of this 19th century German neighborhood.
In order to accomplish its goals, MainStrasse Village hosts several
festivals each year including Mardi Gras, Maifest, Goettafest,
River
Raid Renaissance Festival and Oktoberfest. We also host many
other smaller events including the First Friday Gallery Hops and
special holiday celebrations.
MainStrasse Village is a designated national historic district
that is the home of Old World charm and New World fun. We offer
a unique variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and entertainment and
we pride ourselves on offering a safe environment to visitors and
residents alike.
